DIEMME FILTRATION WINS A 6 MILLION EUROS SUPPLY CONTRACT WITH RUSSIAN CHEMICALS GIANT JSC ACRON 28-05-2010

Diemme Filtration recently reached an agreement for an important supply contract for CJSC North-Western Phosphorous Company. CJSC North-Western Phosphorous Company is part of JSC ACRON, leader in the sector of mineral fertilizer, and obtained the licence for the development and use of the apatite and nepheline Oleniy Ruchey deposit in Kola peninsula.
The project’s aim is to dewater about 2 million tons of apatite concentrate and 1,8 million tons of nepheline concentrate per year. This impressive result will be obtained by means of 6 automatic membrane filter presses.

This contract reaffirms once again Diemme Filtration’s power to find ground breaking technical solutions in new application fields. It is the first time ever that the filter press technology is used for apatite concentrate dewatering.

This achievement is due to the experience Diemme Filtration gained about this particular process through its studies that began in 1998. In that period, the first industrial pilot tests were carried out on the apatite concentrate in Russia.

Not only Diemme Filtration cooperates with JSC ACRON in the metal extraction and beneficiation sector: the Italian company also gives specialized technical consultancy and support whenever chemical synthesis processes requiring solid-liquid separation steps are involved.

This contract strengthen Diemme leadership in the Russian market, where the company has more then 110 references in different industrial sectors.
