In 1923 Mr. Alfredo Melandri established a company to produce the first machines for grape pressing.  Diemme began to develop innovative technologies for the wine-making division, imposing itself rapidly as point of reference for the most important Italian and foreign wineries.
In following decades the company consolidated its presence in all main countries producing wine and developed new technologies for grape squeezing and juice treatments.
Filtration technologies found a great development in the sixties, consequently the Diemme Filter Division started its activity, organized as an independent structure.
With this new layout the company continues its activities, always under the management of the Melandri’s family. The Winemaking Division keeps also nowadays its position as world wide leader, and this results from a continuous work of technological innovation and attention to the customer’s requirements.
